Assignment
- 6 groups
- Each group will be responsible for the creation of their own literary lesson in which they will tackle a given assignment, work and author.
- 3 computer lessons to look for information and to make a stencil/handout, powerpoint/prezi presentation and lesson
-  presentation in English of 40 minutes about your literary subject by means of your powerpoint/prezi presentation/Canva. 
- You will have to make sure students get a handout of your materials. Try to be creative!

You will have to give more information about:

  • The play itself / content / very famous scenes or quotes
  • Literary analysis, using the terminology you learned in 4VWO (zie Teams > bestanden)
  • Reference to movie

Hand-out
- Presentations will be planned by your teacher. 
- hand in all their materials in advance in Teams > opdrachten.  Material that is handed in late will not be copied by the teacher, so it is up to the students themselves to have them ready by the time they have to present their play. 
- Presentations will start immediately after the computer sessions.

Attention
- Please make your own hand-out! Chat Gpt's hand-out of these plays is the worst!
- The content of your presentation will be tested, so make sure you give your presentation in easy & accessible language;
- Your powerpoint/prezi/… has to give a clear summary of what is presented;
- Your hand-out will be copied for the entire class to study, so make sure the language of the hand-out is structured and written in ‘easy’ language and that the content is complete.

1.  Romeo and Juliet + discuss info on Shakespeare’s birth, upbringing, marriage and death
2. Twelfth Night + discuss religion at the time
3. The Tempest + discuss Elizabethan period
4. Hamlet + discuss education at that period in time (in general)
5. The two gentlemen of Verona + discuss Elizabethan theatre
6.  Midsummer Night’s dream + discuss Shakespeare’s influence (what does his work provide reference for? What were his plays tributes to? What did he intend to do with these tributes? How many words did he invent? Examples of words that are still present today, poet that was influenced by Shakespeare)
