Grammar: adverbs of frequency

Adverbs of frequency: always, never, sometimes, often etc. 

Bijwoorden van frequentie komen voor het hoofdwerkwoord.

Melanie never drinks coffee.

Behalve als er een vorm van 'to be' (am/are/is/was/were) staat.

Melanie is always late.

Possessive s

's of ' achter een woord geeft aan van wie het is

Bij één persoon (enkelvoud) altijd: 's

Bij meervoud: Eindigt het woord op een s? dan alleen '

Het maakt niet uit of je het over I, you, we of they hebt: 

je schrijft altijd -ed achter de stam.

Uitzonderingen:

Werkwoorden die eindigen op -e, krijgen alleen -d erachter:

- to bake: We baked a delicious cake yesterday.

- to use: She used the black pencil

- to vote: They voted for Biden
