Goal for the lesson

To understand the difference between the FOUR different way of talking about the future.

To be able to correctly apply these FOUR tenses in sentences. 

Wat weet je al over de toekomst met present simple en present continous in Engels?

Present continuous

• Predictions (without proof): I think they will win the game.
  
• Promises: I will always love you.
  
• Offers (in questions: shall): I'll help you carry your bags.
  
• Spontaneous decision (made at the moment of speaking) : I"ll get some take-away on my way home.

be going to

• to make a prediction about the future based on something we can SEE in the present (evidence).

Shall + hele ww

Shall  - gebruik je alleen met I en we

Je gebruik Shall bij vragen, voorstellen of iets aan te beiden

Shall we eat out tonight? 

Shall I call you later? 

Heel vaak gebruik je "shall" als je wil dat iemand anders de beslissing neemt.
