• Bij ontkenningen in de present simple gebruiken we het werkwoord to do.

• He / she / it - does 

• Persoon + do / does + not + hele werkwoord 
• I  run every day - I do not run every day
• She makes breakfast every Sunday - She does not make breakfast every Sunday

• Bij vragen in de present simple gebruiken we ook het werkwoord to do.

• He / she / it - does 

• Do / does + persoon + hele werkwoord
• I  run every day - Do I run every day?
• She makes breakfast every Sunday - Does she make breakfast every Sunday?

• Bij het werkwoord to have got gebruiken we geen do / does

• I have got a lot of hobbies - I have not got a lot of hobbies
