Exercise 1A) Match the four people (a-d) with the shops (1-4)

Exercise 1B) Look in the four texts and find the name of each type of shop. Then make a list of other types of shops you can name.

Reading Portfolio

You are going to read 4 articles in English. You can choose the articles yourself, but make sure the articles are not too easy or too difficult.

 

For every article, choose ten words that you don’t know or find interesting or difficult. Write down the English words in the first column. Then translate the words to Dutch and write the translations in the second column. After that, write a sentence for each word and incorporate the words correctly. Finally, write a short summary of the article in your own words.
