Preparation
Get out a piece of paper or your notebook and a pen

Choose a day from your Christmas holidays  that you would like to write about
OR
 Imagine a wonderful or terrible day

Process:

  • Write down in keywords what you did that (imaginary) day
  • Decide how you are going to start your description
  • Decide how you are going to end the description

Next steps
  • Describe in detail what you did that day
  • Use a first person point of view (I)
  • Use paragraphs to structure your text
  • Use linking words and expressions to make sure the timeline is clear to the reader

Grammar: word order, verb forms, adjectives/adverbs
Vocabulary: prepositions, avoid very/really
Flow: avoid unnecessary repetitions, variety in lenth of sentences, try to keep it interesting for your reader
