Give 2 similarities between the Greeks and the Romans

Typically Roman

• Worshiped their emperors as Gods.
• Wear a toga to official occasions.
• Gladiator fights.
• Chilling in a bathhouse.

Slaves build fires for underfloor heating and warm rooms.

A healthy mind in a healthy body: the Romans considered sport and hygiene as very important.

There were separate areas for men and women.

There are latrines, the communal toilets.

Baths and rooms were available in all kinds of temperatures: from the cold frigidarium to the sweltering laconium: a kind of sauna

There was an ordinary swimming pool.

But what were those Romans really good at?

• They were good architects (central heating, forts, sewers, roads, etc.)
• Organising.
• Legislation: Roman Law

Laws in the Roman Empire.

The Roman Forum (Roman Market Square) was the political, legal, religious and commercial center of Rome.
