its / it's 

its:    bezit, iets is van een ding

   The dog has a bone in its mouth. = De hond heeft een bot in zijn mond.

it's: - afkorting voor "it is" (de apostrof neemt de plaats van "i")

                It's a toy. = Het is een speeltje.
