A flower is easily recognizable. The leaves with the distinct colors are called patels. The leaves you find on the lower side of the flower are sepals. Between the patels and the sepals is the nectary, where nectar can be found.

Most flowers have 2 sexes: Male and female. That is because they have both ''sperm'' and ''egg'' cells. The sperm cells in a plant are called pollen, which can be found in the anther, together with the filament it forms the stamen.

The egg cells can be found in the lower part of the pistil in the ovary. Within the ovary are ovules which contain the egg cells. Pollen land on the stigma and are brought down through the style to the ovary. When all the egg cells are fertilized, the fruit starts to form out of the ovary.
