We use must for more personal opinions on things that we think are necessary. The speaker thinks that it has to be done.


I must remember to get a present for Daisy. (my opinion)
I must go to the hairdresser. (my hair is too long).

We use have to when someone else thinks that something has to be done, for instance the law, school rules, parents' rules.
You have to look after your dog's hair often. (dog experts say so)

don't/ doesn't have to.
There is no obligation then
