  • Na 'could' gebruik je altijd het hele werkwoord
  • 'Could' heeft twee verschillende betekenissen:
1. Kon(den):
"Eric could run faster than this brother"
(Eric kon harder rennen dan zijn broer)
2. Zou(den) kunnen:
"Could you help me, please?"
(Zou u mij kunnen helpen?)

  • In deze korte zinnetjes herhaal je het eerste woord van de vraag:
"Are they ready?" -> "Yes, they are." / "No, they aren't."
"Is Jack late?" -> "Yes, he is." / "No, he isn't"
