Adjectives with two or more syllables
If an adjective has two or more syllables, we add the word ‘more’ in front to create the comparative form. For example:
  • Interesting: Jack is more interesting than Michael.
  • Famous: Lady Gaga is more famous than me.
  • Courageous: Alice is more courageous than Bob.
  • Generous: She is more generous than he is.

If an adjective has two or more syllables, we add ‘the most’ in front to create the superlative form. For example:

  • Generous: She's the most generous girl.
