Conjunctions zijn voegwoorden. Deze woorden dienen om zinsdelen aan elkaar te verbinden.

Conjunctions hebben verschillende functies, en kunnen hierbij de volgende zaken weergeven:

• keuze: or
• opsomming: and
• reden/oorzaak: because, since
• tegenstelling: but, yet
• tijd: until, before, after, when, while
