Zwitsers onderzoek: geen telefoons geeft ongeveer 1 uur extra effectieve lestijd als resultaat. Het probleem is het multitasking. Prikkels op 1 dag van ons staat gelijk aan prikkels in een heel leven in de Middeleeuwen. Ons brein is nog niet geëvolueerd. 

Overall reading

2003: collega Nynke is 17 jaar oud. Nederland op plaats 9.

Er zijn geen telefoons in de klas.

PISA resultaten 2003

In 2003 begon de telefoon echt op te komen en iedereen had er wel 1. Maar werd niet toegelaten in de klassen. Ook begon 3G in opkomst te komen, dus het was alleen snake, bellen en smsen. 

Overall reading

2018: NL op plaats 26. 

Er zijn wel telefoons in de klas.

PISA resultaten 2018

We zijn onder het gemiddelde gezakt. Onderzoekers denken dat dit door ICT gebruik in de klas komt, mobiele telefoon maar ook ineffectief gebruik van laptops etc.
