reading circle

A reading circle is a group of pupils that are all reading the same book (in your case, the whole class is reading Kidnapped in Cornwall). In the reading circle, we get together every week to discuss what we have read in our book.

1. The story expert – this student focuses on the setting, time and place of the story and highlights the events that are most important.

2. The problem solver – this student focuses on the problem in the story and can describe it. What lesson can we learn from it? Wat is het problem in het verhaal? Kun je er wat van leren?

3. The connector – this student focuses on how the story can connect to our lives. Maybe to a personal situation of someone you know, or to something that also happens in our lives.

4. The interviewer – this student focuses on the characters and thinks of questions that you could ask the main characters (hoofdpersonen) in the book.
