The SHIT Rule gaat over  She, He, and IT.

The rule is:

Het werkwoord krijgt een  +s. AL het een He, she of it.

So I dance becomes She dances.

Questions

To make a present simple question, you can put the verb do in front of the sentence:

 I like ice cream.     becomes      Do I like ice cream?

If the subject is a he, she or it, you have to use does. Also, look at what happens with the +s of the original verb.

Bob plays football.   becomes   Does Bob play football?

Negations zegt je dat iets niet gebeurt. Het woordje do/does not word hierbij gebruikt.

Je kunt het ook afkorten:

                          She does not see very well.
                        She doesn't see very well.

So not like this:
                                        I like not cookies. 

But like this:
                                       I don't /do not like cookies
