What is the rule?

1. Add an -s to the noun

2. Add -es when the noun ends in an -s sound: -s, -x, -sh, -ch

3. Add -es when the noun ends in -o

4. Add -ies when the noun ends in consonant + y

5. Change to -ves when the noun ends in -f or -fe
