Present simple:

Wat is de regel van de present simple?

1. ww + - ed
2. shit = bij she/he/it : ww +-(e)s
3. vorm van to be + ww+-ing

Present Continuous
Wanneer gebruik je de Present Continuous?

1. Wanneer iets altijd, nooit of regelmatig gebeurt.
2. Wanneer iets nu bezig of aan de gang is.
3. Wanneer iets in het verleden is gebeurd.
4. Wanneer iets in het verleden is begonnen en nu nog bezig is.

Wat zijn signaalwoorden voor de present continuous?

1. (right) now, at the moment
2. already, yet, since, for, just
3. last week, in 1962, three years ago
4. always, ever, never, often, usually, every day

Present continuous:

Wat is de regel van de present continuous?

1. hele ww+ -ed
2. shit = hele ww+ -s
3. vorm van to be (am/are/is) + hele ww+ -ing

Usually = normaal gesproken. Het geeft dus een gewoonte aan = present simple!

2. Is he watching

Regularly geeft aan dat iets regelmatig gebeurt = present simple

Present Simple <> Present Continuous
The school bag ________ (be) very heavy.

2. is being

Dit is een feitje, present simple = IS

Present Simple <> Present Continuous

1. leaves
2. is leaving

Look! Is een signaalwoord voor de present continuous!

1. arrive
2. are arriving

Usually geeft aan dat iets normaal is, dus de present simple

Present Simple <> Present Continuous
Every Sunday we _______ (go) to see my grandparents.

1. go
2. are going

Every Sunday = dus vaker = present simple

Present Simple <> Present Continuous

1. sleeps
2. is sleeping

Right now = signaalwoord voor de present continuous

1. play
2. are playing

At the moment = nu, op dit moment = present continuous

I usually ... (work) as a cashier but this week I ...( bake) bread.

1. worked - have baked
2. work - am baking
3. have worked - bake
4. had worked - baked

Usually = normaal gesproken, dus simple present

BUT this week (uitzondering): iets wat alleen deze week gebeurt = present continuous
