The Role of the Colourist
- Work with the DOP and director to develop the 'look' of the film
- Create a LUT / CDL for viewing on set
- Decide upon a data workflow
- Grade 'Dailies'
- Review footage
- Organise and sort the footage for the colour grade
- First Pass (Colour correcting)
- Second Pass (Colour grading)
- Secondaries (dealing with outlier issues)
- Final Pass
- Deliver (either back to editor or exporting master file)
