Learning Objective:
At the end of this lesson you will know what an adverb and what an adjective is. You will know the difference between the two and know how to form them.

Adjective
= bijvoegelijk naamwoord

- Says something about a noun (zelfstandig naamwoord)
example: the red car, a big house, a fast runner

Adverb
= bijwoord

- Says something about a verb, an adverb or an adjective 
- example: the really red  car, the extremely sour lemon

How do you make an adverb?
You add -ly to the end of a word:
- extreme  + -ly > extremely

exceptions:
- words ending with -le get -ly instead  adorable > adorably
- words ending with -ic get - ally  automatic > automatically
- words ending with -ue get - uly true > truly
- words ending with -ll get - lly full > fully

Adverb
- says something about a verb, adjective or another adverb
- form: adjective + ly

to speak QUIETLY, 
EXTREMELY loud
