Grammar - Present tenses
Present Simple:
he sleeps - I walk - they talk
algemene waarheid, gewoonte, feit

Present Continuous:
he is sleeping, I am walking, they are talking 
tijdelijke situatie, iets wat aan de gang is, ergernis

he has slept, they have walked
Iets wat in het verleden is begonnen en nog steeds aan de gang is of nog effect heeft op het heden.

Signaalwoorden: For, since, so far, already, (yet  bij vragen en ontkenningen)

Bijv. bij korte, tijdelijke acties en situaties. Nadruk op tijd, ergernis
 Compare:
He hasn't been working very well recently
