URL 
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. A URL is nothing more than the address of a given unique resource on the Web. In theory, each valid URL points to a unique resource
You will call them a "web address"

At this level - think of an IP address like a unique number to find a device on a network.

Like how your phone number is unique to call and message your phone 
The IP is unique to find a device to communicate with
Web addresses are in fact just linked to an IP address
