PRESENT CONTINUOUS 

Present Continuous

When	When something happens now . Something that happens for a while .
How	I am walk ing he/she/it is walk ing you/we/they are walk ing
Signal words	now, at the moment, !
Example	The police are investigat ing the murder.

Present Continuous

When you are doing something right now:

- I am learning English

- You are listening to a story

- He is watching a TV show

Past continuous

Wanneer je wil aangeven dat iets in het verleden is gebeurd en toen aan de gang was voor een langere tijd.

He  was drinking a coke.

We were eating in a restaurant.

I was playing football last weekend.

Present Cont.   /   Past Cont.

Always use a form of 'to be' and verb + ing

I am walking                                   I was walking

You are listening                          You were listening

He/she/it is talking                      He was talking

We are gaming                              We were gaming

You are playing                              You were playing

Present continuous

1. aan te geven dat iets NU aan de gang is. Signaalwoorden zijn o.a: "now, at the moment, listen..." enz.

2. aan te geven dat je iets van plan bent. Meestal staat er bij wanneer je in de toekomst dat van plan bent.

3. irritatie aan te geven

Maak de present continuous door: vorm van 'to be' (am/is/are) + ww+ ing

Wanneer gebruik je de Present Continuous?

1. Als iets in het verleden is gebeurd.
2. Als iets nu aan de gang is.
3. Als iets in de toekomst gaat gebeuren.
4. Als iets is gebeurd maar het is nog steeds belangrijk.
