Third conditional sentence

Used to imagine a different past, a regret, an impossible situation we want to happen differently than the past

Example

Q: My car was out of order. I didn't drive my friend home.

A: If my car hadn't been out of order, I would've driven my friend home

1. She didn't give me her phone number so I couldn't call her.

2. He was at work so he couldn't go with us.

3. My dad didn't buy any sugar so my mom didn't make any cake.

4. Mr. Smith did too much exercise at the gym. His legs hurt the next morning.

5. Mrs. Puff had a bad headache so she didn't go to the concert.

6. Luca ate spicy food yesterday. He can't go to school today

7. I travelled round the world because I had won the lottery.

8. We didn't have enough money. We couldn't afford to eat in restaurants.

9. You weren't prepared. You couldn't pass the exam.

10. Pedro didn't follow the instructions so he damaged the new microwave oven.
