Wat is het doel van Engels in het basisonderwijs?

"Engels leren is ook om andere redenen waardevol: een vreemde taal leren doet sterk een beroep op de creativiteit van een leerling en draagt eraan bij dat een leerling - door zich te leren (durven) uiten in een andere taal - zelfvertrouwen opbouwt. Onderzoek wijst uit dat het leren van talen het denkvermogen bevordert en dat het helpt genuanceerd te denken. "

Werkwijze Engels TCC

Team up with a classmate. You saw two people rob a restaurant. Help the police catch the robbers by giving a detailed description of them. Decide who’s the police officer and who’s the eye witness. Then discuss the following things:

• The officer asks questions about the robbers’ looks and their character.
  
• The eye witness gives information about the looks of one of the thieves using the picture and tells the officer about his/her character (you can make this up).

During the chapter, you have read a text about Noah, who is running cross-country despite his disability. You are interested in sportsmen with disabilities and decide to interview Simon Wheatcroft, a well-known male ultramarathon runner. He is visiting The Netherlands to run the Amsterdam Marathon. 

A. Write down six interview questions that you would like to ask Simon. Make sure that you can find the answers in the fact file.

B.  Write down Simon’s answers to your questions. Write full sentences.
