Speaking Assignment
A Memorable Adventure

For this assignment you are going to tell us a story about an adventure you once experienced. It may be a funny story, a tragic story or a thrilling one, that's up to you.
It might be about a sweet holiday memory, about a prank you once played or about a dangerous trip into the mountains; anything goes!
It may be a true story, but it doesn't have to be. Just use your imagination!
Only no foul language of course. But other than that: go crazy!

Slide 9 - Slide

You will, however, have to tell the story using the past simple and the past continuous.

For example:
• "We arrived at the hotel." = past simple (for action or events)
• "Mum was unpacking the bags and we were jumping on the bed."
= past continuous (for longer actions/events happening at the same time)
• "While we were climbing the cliff, out of nowhere a snake appeared!"
= past continuous (longer action/event) + past simple (interrupting action/event)

Slide 10 - Slide

The assignment:

• Prepare a story to tell of about 2-3 (max) minutes
• No fully written texts, use only keynotes on paper!
• Use the past simple AND the past continuous
• Do your best to show creativity and engagement
• Speak clearly in correct English
• Use your own words! No AI generated texts
• At the beginning of your presentation you get two words that you need to integrate in your story (Improvise)
