What is an adjective?

• Bijvoegelijk naamwoord (adjective); een woord dat iets zegt over een zelfstandig naamwoord (noun). 
•  That car is red. 
• 'Titanic' is a sad film. 
• My neighbour is very old, he's almost 90 years old. 
• My sister has curly hair.
