When inversion?
  1. In questions ( He can see you -> Can he see you?)
  2. When we use a negative adverb or adverb phrase at the beginning of the sentence. (
  3. instead of ‘if’ in conditionals with ‘had’ ‘were’ and ‘should’. 
  4. if we put an adverbial expression of place at the beginning on the sentence.
  5. after ‘so + adjective ... that’:
