Present Perfect
When do we use it?
- To talk about experiences in our lives up to now (when is not important).
- Something started in the past and is still going on/ the effects are still present.

- Tip FYNE JAS words: F or, Y et, N ever, E ver, J ust, A lready, S ince. 
(with these words in the sentence you always use present perfect!)
Example: I have not seen her YET/ She has worked here FOR 6 years.

Present Perfect
How do we use it?
Have/has + verb + ed (past participle*).
(or have/has + 3rd irregular verb).

How do we use it (questions and negative)?
Questions: only word order changes.
Negative: Have/ has + not + past participle*.

*past participle = voltooid deelwoord

have just finished my lunch. 
She has opened the window.
 



Has she opened the window?
I have not just finished my lunch.

Make two sentences with the present perfect:
1. negative.
2. question.

Present Perfect
Don't forget:
The verb 'to go' has two different past participles, that do not have the same meaning.
- gone = went away and is still there.
- been = went away and is finished.

- ex. 2 and 3 on p. 98 (tb) together
- ex. 1, 4, 5, 6 on p. 98 (tb) alone/ with your neighbour

Present perfect
Present perfect (bij dingen die in het verleden begonnen zijn en nu nog bezig/ effecten er van nog merkbaar):
- Bevestigend: ow + have/has + ww 3e rijtje
- Ontkennend: ow + have/has + not + ww 3e rijtje
- Vragend: have/has + ow + ww 3e rijtje
Bij FYNE YAS woorden in de zin altijd present perfect gebruiken!
