It's happening right now or about right now

'if it's something you can see, use a form of 'to be' and a verb with -ing'

Josh is wearing a striped shirt and eating spaghetti

Tell me about something you are doing right now or something else is doing right now

Perfect 

started in the past and is still going on

have/has (shit rule) + verd-ed

"Josh has played the piano for 5 years." 

Perfect continuous

started in the past and is still going on

have/has + been + verb-ing

"Josh has been playing the piano for a long time now."

Perfect continuous

Often the same as perfect simple

Difference: bigger emphasis on how long it took

Some verbs are 'short', those never have continuous: 

-stop, break, start, lose, find-
