Rule 1: Add not or -n't after am, are, is and can

You are happy to see me -> You aren't happy to see me
You can talk while working -> You can not talk while working

Negative sentences

Rule 2: With other verbs, add do not/don't or does not/doesn't and the verb without to

You like to eat apples -> You don't like to eat apples
He wants socks for Christmas-> He doesn't want socks for Christmas
