Possessives

voeg 's aan het woord toe bij:	- Personen en dieren in het enkelvoud - Personen en dieren in het meervoud zonder -s - Namen van personen - Als je het hebt over winkels.	- My mom 's jacket - My dog 's food - The children 's shoes - Patrick 's birthday - Go to the baker 's , please.
Voeg ' toe aan het woord bij:	- Bij zelfstandige naamwoorden in het meervoud met -s	- My brothers ' bike - My parents ' room
Voeg ...of... toe aan de zin als je het hebt over:	- het bezit van dingen - geografische locaties	- The roof of the house - The trailer of the film - The city of New York

Hoe zie je wat je moet gebruiken?

• Kijk naar de zin en het onderwerp.
  
• Doet het onderwerp zelf iets  --> actief
  
• Ondergaat het onderwerp iets --> passief
  

John orders a pizza at Domino’s

De meeste vormen eindigen in het meervoud op -s

parent -> parents

star -> stars

friend -> friends

Eindigen op -sis klank

watch -> watches

dish -> dishes
