--> NO CONTRACTIONS: isn't, I'm, he's, can't etc. --> it is not, I am, he is, cannot etc.

Formal language (cont)

 - no slang or nonstandard English

 - full, proper sentences
- No "Things" --> be specific!

- Do not use excessive punctuation, especially exclamation marks.

- Write out numbers under 11 (three children, 10 000 islands)
- Appropriate capital letters (names, I, countries etc.)
