Verschillen 
past simple en past continuous: 
past simple is een situatie of eenmalige gebeurtenis in het verleden, past continuous is iets wat op een bepaald moment in het verleden bezig was. 
! Als ze beide in de zin voorkomen, onderbreekt de Past Simple altijd de Past Continuous!

Past perfect simple:
Speelt zich allebei af vóór een andere verleden tijd.
