Fast-twitch & slow-twitch
Skeletal muscles are made up of muscle fibers (=spiervezels). 2 types: 
  • Fast-twitch = They tire very quickly, but give great strength for fast, short movements (sprinters)
  • Slow-twitch = can keep contracting for longer periods of time without getting tired (marathon-runners)
