BUILDING A SENTENCE  

ADVERBIAL
Write an adverbial such as ‘Long ago’, ‘One day’, ‘Tomorrow’,  ‘ Yesterday’, … at the top of the paper.  Remember, don’t let anyone see your paper!
Fold paper and pass it. Then write an:
ARTICLE + ADJECTIVE
After writing each word class, pass your paper on.
NOUN
VERB
ADVERB
PREPOSITION
ARTICLE + ADJECTIVE
NOUN



What  
Work in groups of 4 students.  
Each person takes out a piece of paper.
As a group, you are going to write a sentence word by word, without seeing what the others have written.  
How
You are given a word class and you must write a word down.
Example:   Noun -> you write: student
Fold the paper so no one can see the word, and the next person can write a word underneath.
Pass the paper on.

When you finish early, you wait untill everyone is finished! No peeking at the sentences.
