Welsh Jobs
My name is Evan Bale and I work at the Blaenavon coal mine. I work very long days: from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. It's an important job, because without coal there would be no electricity. My colleagues and I make sure you don't have to live in an cold house. There is enough work for me in the mine, because people will always need coal. My father was a miner, and his father before that. My son Charlie is 13 and he goes to school. He wants to be a miner like his dad when he grows up.
