1. Lijdend voorwerp (object) komt vooraan in de zin te staan. 

2. Kijk in welke tijd de zin staat voor het hulpwerkwoord. 
tegenwoordige tijd? Gebruik: am / is / are | verleden tijd? Gebruik: was / were

3. Gebruik het voltooid deelwoord van het hoofdwerkwoord. 

My sister is attacked (by angry penguins // by zombies).

1. Pupils throw paper balls at me.

--> Pupils are active: they throw the ball.

--> throw = tegenwoordige tijd!

Passive: Paper balls are thrown at me (by pupils)

2. Pupils threw paper balls at me, but I kicked them out.

--> threw = verleden tijd!

Passive: Paper balls were thrown at me.

In beide gevallen het voltooid deelwoord thrown
