  • Tegenwoordige Tijd

Use
  • feiten, gewoonten en dingen die we met regelmaat doen (nooit, altijd, soms etc).
  • meningen

Form: stam (+ s)do(es) ... stam? / do(es) not + stam
  • Affirmative: I live in Spain / She always cooks at 5 o'clock
  • Interrogative: Do they often swim on Thursdays? / Does it bark  at everyone?
  • Negative: We do not like spaghetti / He does not study in Spain
Signaalwoorden
  • Always / never / sometimes / often / regularly, etc
  • every day / every month / daily

Ezelsbruggetjes
  • SHIT-rule: she / he / it = -s achter stam

!!LET OP!!
  • De -e valt weg wanneer de stam eindigt met een enkele letter -e 
  1. take --> taking
  2. make --> making
  3. see --> seeing
  • Dubbele medeklinkers als de stam eindigt met één klinker en één medeklinker
  1. sit ==> sitting
  2. get ==> getting
  • Een werkwoord die eindigt met ie, verandert naar y
  1. lie ==> lying
