The Position Paper (PP)

- You have made your Position Papers and handed them in. 

  (If you haven't, hand them in now at [e-mail])

- How do we use this Position Paper today? 

Writing a speech

- Opening: 'tie into the premise';

- Premise/core: 'selling your countries opinion/the reason for the speech';

- Body: '1 ..., 2..., 3...; the points your country tries to get across';

- Call for action: 'what do you want the other countries to do?'

Writing a speech

- Today's speeches are about the prompts;

- They're 1 minute long each;

- Every student speaks at least once;

- You have to speech AND vote for each prompt.

Recap:

- Today we've seen a recap about the MUN;

- We have learned how to write a speech;

- We have written (and finished) all our speeches for next class.

- Before next class: make sure all your speeches are finished.
