Present Simple
We use the present simple when an action happens regularly in the present or with basic facts.

Examples:
I always buy lunch at school
The sky is blue

Present Simple
There are a few exceptions:
  • Verbs that end with -s, -x, -z, -sh, -ch, -ss:
put -es at the end of the verb
He always catches the ball.

  • Verbs that end with a consonant + -y:
-y changes to -ies
She studies very hard every day.

He goes to the store every week.
