Past Perfect
De past perfect verwijst naar een tijd voorafgaand aan het nu. Het wordt gebruikt om duidelijk te maken dat de ene gebeurtenis plaatsvond voor de andere in het verleden, deze andere gebeurtenis staat dan vaak in de Past Simple. 

Je maakt de Past Perfect door: had + ed (regelmatige ww) & had + 2de vorm ww (onregelmatige ww)

Prepositions of time and place
In English we use 3 prepositions of time and place: in/on/at. 

Time: 
On is used for days and dates. --> We have soccer on Saturday.
In is used for months, years, seasons and parts of the day. --> We did our exams in 2010. 
At is used for specific times of day and holidays. --> Our school starts at 08:15.

Prepositions of time and place
Place: 
On is used for surfaces, public transport and roads/streets/rivers. --> The boat sailed on the river Themes. 
In is used for general places, cities/countries and things inside an area or space. --> We live in The Netherlands. 
At is used for specific locations or particular places. --> I will meet you at the trainstation.
