Nazis and Communists killing each
other ?

Preparations for
Operation "Overlord"

The Germans had to be fooled into thinking that the invasion would happen near Calais, NOT Normandy.
How did the Allies do this?
A Fake Army was set up in the South East of England (Patton’s 1st Army)
The area around Calais was bombed more heavily than elsewhere
Fake planes, tanks and landing craft were built
German reconnaissance planes were only ‘allowed’ to fly over Kent, and see fake oil dock
Secrecy and deception
