Let students activate prior-knowledge by discussing the two ads. Let them pay attention to image and language use. Encourage them to think about who they think the ad was made for (people and geographic location) and what is being sold.

Students are going to read an article about the future of self-driving cars or autonomous vehicles (AVs). You can also read the text together as a class if the class has trouble focusing. 

After reading, let students discuss the questions (on slide) in their groups.
