Essay writing: Introduction
Hook: To get your readers attention
Context: describe what happens in the book, but keep it relevant to your task.
Thesis statement/claim: what will you be arguing, what point are you defending.
Important: Your thesis statement is the most important sentence of your essay, make sure you make your point clear.

Topic sentence: What is your point for this paragraph

araphrase: give more information about topic sentence/say it differently
I
nsert Evidence: use a quote or paraphrase what happens. Make sure it is relevant to the topic sentence.
E
xplain why the evidence is relevant for your argument and conclude with a sentence in which you explain why it supports your thesis statement/claim.
Important: All sentences in a body paragraph should be related to the topic sentence.
