2. Heterogeneous forest
3. Differences in the heights of the trees
4. Trees are green all year

But why is it so hot and why does it rain so much around the equator?

• Vertical rays = loodrechte zonnestralen (equator)
• Diagonal rays = schuine zonnestralen (poles)
• High latitude = hoge breedte (far from the equator)
• Low latitude = lage breedte (close to the equator)
• Convectional rainfalls = stijgingsregen (equator)
• Precipitation = neerslag
