  • Het zelfstandig naamwoord staat in het meervoud.

  • Je gebruikt 'each' bij twee of meer personen, dieren of dingen.

  • Het zelfstandig naamwoord staat in het enkelvoud.

Example:

All, every, none= alle/allemaal, iedere, geen/niet een
  • Je gebruikt 'all, every, none' bij drie of meer personen, dieren of dingen.

Example: 
  • The suspect admitted to all charges.
  • A criminal burgled nearly every house in the street.
  • None of the missing jewels were recovered.

  • Je gebruikt 'each' om nadruk te leggen op individuele dingen. 

  • Je gebruikt 'every' om nadruk te leggen op het geheel.
Example:
