Adjectives
An adjective (bijvoeglijk naamwoord) says something about a noun (zelfstandig naamwoord).

Examples:

Adjectives are often used after linking verbs such as be/seem/become/get/feel/sound/etc.
  

Examples:
We are lucky.
It gets difficult.
That sounds good.

When you use two or more adjectives, they adhere to the following order:
1. Opinion (beautiful/boring/irritating...)
2. Size (small/big/tall/tiny...)
3. Time (fast/old...)
4. Shape (round/square...)
5. Colour (yellow/green/purple...)
6. source/origin (Dutch/home made...)
7. material (wooden/plastic...)

An adverb (bijwoord) provides information on how, when, where, whereto and how often something is happening.
  

An adverbs says something about:
1. A verb: She sings beautifully.
2. An adjective: The castle is incredibly loud.
3. Another adverb: The car drove extremely slowly.

Examples:
Bad - Badly / Slow - slowly / Usual - usually
