- Voor het hoofdwerkwoord 

- na een vorm van to be 

- voor een ander bijwoord / bijvoeglijk naamwoord. 

Adverbs? Remind me. 

- Zeggen iets over hoe, waar of wanneer iets gedaan wordt. 

- Hebben meestal een vorm met "ly" op het einde. 

Voorbeelden: 

sometimes, closely, jokingly, rightfully, rarely, especially, almost, tonight, tomorrow, outside, behind, last year, fairly, etc.
