> gebruik DO en DOES als hulpwerkwoord om vragen/ ontkenningen te maken

Gebruik je om vraagzinnen en ontkennende zinnen te maken in de : PRESENT SIMPLE

Sorry, I don't know the time. (don't = do not)

Does she know the way? 

No, she doesn't know the way.

Let op!

Niet alle werkwoorden kunnen in de 'present continuous' gebruikt woorden: 

Bijvoorbeeld : prefer, (dis)like, know, need, want

I am needing new shoes

Het moeten werkwoorden zijn die een actie aangeven.

Questions & negatives in present continuous

Present continuous "form to be" + werkwoord + ING

Question form: Is he speaking to the new girl? 

Negative form (ontkenning): He isn't returning my calls.

Spelling of some verbs

Sommige werkwoorden krijgen een verdubbeling van de medeklinker:

run - running

plan - planning

swim - swimming

stop - stopping
